Music video for the song "Beautiful" by the band DIAL

The band made it clear that they did not want a standard rock performance video. The message of the song (obsession with exterior beauty) needed to be expressed. The video needed to have a very modern, twisted and arty look. After a number of brainstorm sessions between DIAL and D'iMages, the concept took shape.

The video depicts a woman, who has become so obsessed by the face of beauty that she lives in an imaginary world where she plays the parts of beauty icons and catwalk girls. In the end she believes she is on the catwalk herself, being cheered and applauded. When her illusion fails to hold up she finds herself in a catatonic state, unable to interact with the world around her.
