An eccentric gospel singer wakes up late for church on the morning of her first solo. She races to get there and is stopped by a homeless man, an elderly woman, and a girl who has fallen from her bike. She uses proverbs to defend her actions to her conscience as she passes them by. In the end she finds that she hadn't truly been as holy as she thought that she was.
